Day 2!

Our second day in St. Louis was great! After hanging out at Aunt Amy’s house for a while, Uncle Ken, Matthew, and I headed to Grandpas to meet up with Dad and Leo around 3. Lou, Ken, Dad, Matthew, Grandpa and I all relaxed and talked until Aunt Amy got off work at 8. Uncle Ken and Dad ran to Schnuck’s to pick up some chicken and pizza for dinner. Dinner was delicious and was so much fun! After a while everyone left and Dad and I went to bed. I stayed up for a while reading but Dad was out like a light in seconds.

Day 1 and full of fun!

We arrived in St. Louis about and hour ahead of time around 6am. Dad got some coffee at the station while we waited for Uncle Lou to pick us up. When we woke up on the train in the morning we saw snow everywhere outside. After a few minutes Dad realized we were in St. Louis so I was really excited because we were here and the snow was ours! I couldn’t get over how white and beautiful everything was on the drive to Grandpas house. After we got to Grandpas and chatted a while Dad said we were going to build a snowman. We had so much fun! When our snowman was done Dad went and got their old family Toboggan out of Grandpas garage and we went to the front of the house and I slid down the slope in front of the house. I was so excited! Then Uncle Leo came over and visit with everyone before taking my Dad and some others out to a cabin in St. James, MO. Aunt Amy and Matthew came and picked me up later and we went to their house to make cookies. Laura came over and we had a blast! We watched to Taylor Concert DVD the whole time! The cookies tasted great and everybody had a good time.

Bound for St. Louis!

After doing some last minute packing, Dad and I left around noon for the four hour drive to Longview, TX. We had a blast! We stopped for Whataburger and had delicious lunch. We drove some more seeing some awesome things along the way. Giant animal sculptures, Christmas lights, and so much more! We stopped at a Wendy’s in Nacogdoches for a bathroom break as we had gone into town to kill time and look at the college, Stephen F. Austin. Dad also found a Starbucks so we stopped and he got himself some coffee. It wasn’t long until we were at the train station after picking up some subway sandwiches to eat a while later. It was a little hectic trying to find a parking space but after a while we got one. The train pulled up and while Dad went to go get our pass, I went up and got us a seat ahead of time. It was a good thing too! Almost every seat is full tonight. You gotta love holiday travel!  The train got moving and we are cruising along now! We had dinner and now we are just relaxing.
