Hurricane Ike blew through our area. We had a scary night and lost a tree in the front yard. We're okay. We had impromptu get-togethers and some
fun really in "camping mode". It could have been much worse. A couple of days without power and helping/being helped restores ones appreciation
of friends and neighbors. We also appreciate the power company for bringing juice back to us when so many around us are still without power - reportedly
34% on, 76% off. Oddly, our phone went out yesterday after working throughout, DSL is still on though, odd. A cool front has arrived... It's 72 degrees now.
That's a relief. We're truly blessed and we appreciate everyone's thoughtfulness and prayers! Keep 'em coming for those less fortunate than us please!
