HAPPY 60th BIRTHDAY LOU!!!!! - November 27th, 2020

Sadly, because of distance and Covid-19 considerations we cannot all come together and throw a surprise party for Lou, like we held 10 years ago at Annuciata in St. Louis.
Instead, we could all write him a note of congratulations and appreciation for the impact he has had on our lives, right? and join in a conference call, too!

We, Lou's siblings, ask you, his friends and family to add to the fun by doing these:
1. Share the Facebook event page with everyone who knows Lou. Mention that there is a link to this web page (where we'll compile everyone's messages for him to see them on Friday).
2. Please add comments, photos, remembrances, really any Happy Birthday wishes for Lou to this event on Facebook 23Mon through 26Thursday.
3. Join the video concall!  We'll reveal everyone's comments and good wishes during a Zoom celebration conference call occurring this Friday November 27th...
To join the Zoom call, Meeting ID: 898 5505 4041, note the Password: 009824 @ 5pm Western, 6pm Mountain, 7pm Central, 8pm Eastern time!

During this week we'll add your inputs submitted to various places onto this page.  Please share it!  Also, the zoom call recording is now copied below.

Thank you and we look forward to joining you on Friday to mutually congratulate and celebrate our brother, Lou Tevlin!
Anna Lee, Linda, Mary, Leo, Pete, and Amy!

FYI, for fun, see pictures and videos from our 2010 (Lou's 50th) celebration here.

Here are your responses to our invitation to comment:

Hey Lou,
Being 13 months apart, we've been through a lot together. It's always been an inspiration to me to watch you solve challenges and reveal your strengths. You truly have learned the special things about life and love and faith that our dear parents taught us and you have always shared them selflessly.
As one of your biggest fans through thick and thin I celebrate your unique qualities today and I wish that God may bless you with the happiest of birthdays! May your future be bright!
I wish we could celebrate as a group but this year has challenged that opportunity. We'll plan to get-together in the not too distant future and we'll raise a toast then.
Cheers to 60 years, brother! ⚜  Pete

Pete, I am definitely honored to be among the folks invited to participate in Lou’s 60thbirthday bash. I hope it will be OK for me to simply send him a congratulatory email Friday.  By my standard Lou is a spring chicken. If I make it to December 6 I will “celebrate” 91 years on this beautiful planet. I applaud your “virtual” celebration of Lou’s 60th year. Feel free to somehow include this email in the avalanche of greetings to Lou.

I'd love to go, but it's 1 am for me - I can't promise I'll be awake. Happy Birthday to Lou!

Happy Birthday LOU! as the good book says; Eat Cake! you might wonder, where does it say that?, well on page 187 in Betty Crockers CookBook, which happens to be a good book. It's a good recipe for German Chocolate Cake! Have a good one Buddy! Your pal, Craig

Louis, Happy Birthday my sweet cousin!
While considering how to best honor you tonight I was treated to a host of wonderful memories of our summer adventures!
A few of my favorites include a very late night in front of my dad's stereo going through all of the clues across The Beatles music explaining the rumors that "Paul is dead!" Right down to playing the album backwards at just the right speed so you could hear it! Then sending you out to sleep in truck camper in the backyard at Sunnyoaks! I'm not sure you slept that night!
There were the nights cruizin' downtown San Jose because it was like that scene from American Graffiti, with all the classic cars, and the low-riders with the cars that bounce!
Or watching the movie Jaws the summer it came out in the theater, then both of us thinking twice before stepping onto the sand when my mom took us to the beach the next day!
There was the gondola ride at Six Flags back there in Missouri where a few of the cousins took advantage of the moving ride to practice their "bombing" skills on unsuspecting pedestrians below!
And as we grew older I recall a fabulous late night in St. Louis being introduced to Kamikazi's and your MLB friends!
Then there was a night on the balcony of the Sky-Crib discussing things of life into the wee hours while overseeing beautiful St. Louis. I don't think we solved anything, but there was much laughter and many big thoughts!
But mostly when I think of you I think of a man of integrity, gentle strength of character, thoughtfulness beyond belief, a love so big that one feels completely safe to be oneself when they are with you. You have the best smile and your hug is rivaled only by your Aunt Re!
You have always had my whole heart and respect. I hope you have a most wonderful birthday - at least as wonderful as you are!
May the Lord bless you as you have been a blessing to so many. May you feel the presence of Jesus Christ every day as you move into this next special time of your life.
Welcome to the seventh (!) decade Lou! It's an adventure, to be sure!
Love you Lou,
Cass (Guerra) Hart
